1st class have been kept super busy since returning to school after Christmas. They completed their literacy project on poetry. For this project their learned the Ning Nang Nong by Spike Mulligan and wrote their own nonsense poems. They also wrote acrostic poems before Christmas as well as winter poems in the shape of Arctic animals!
They are working on their Write A Book competition entries. Each child has had to plan their story, invent characters, write a draft of their story, edit (with the help of Ms O’Brien!) and then type out their story. The children have really enjoyed using the laptops. They also have to illustrate their stories.
