Our World Book Day celebrations took place throughout the month of March. The junior classes were treated to a visit by author Gillian Perdue who read them her story about Conor the Cowboy. They loved joining in with the actions and after the story the classes got to dance and play a cowboy game!
The senior classes enjoyed a visit from author Olive Mooney and we were also fortunate to have a local poet, Dave Lordan, visit the school as well.
We held an assembly all about books and there was a ”big book quiz’ for the senior classes to complete.
1st class visited 4th class to show them their completed books from the Write A Book competition.
Our annual Book Fair and dress up day took place on March 26th. There was a wonderful array of books to browse and buy in the GP room. Many of the pupils dressed up and there were some amazing costumes! The pupils with the best home made costumes got to pick a free book at the fair. Well done everyone!
