Term 3 whistled by and First Class were kept very busy!

In keeping with our theme of ‘Water’ for April we listened to George Frederic Handel’s ‘Water Music’ and we painted pictures inspired by this lovely piece at one of the new seating areas outside. We did some cool water experiments including making lava lamps for each pod. We also constructed ‘Porthole Pictures’ and we listened to the story about ‘Titanic’ the unsinkable ship. We created some amazing collage ‘Salmon of Knowledge’ pictures using coloured magazine illustrations.

We painted concentric circles inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and had to pay to sit on our chairs every Friday for the months of May and June!

June was exceptionally busy this year with 30th birthday celebrations, Active Schools week, World Heritage Day and Book Character Dress- Up Day not to mention our 2 euro collection for Down Syndrome Ireland.

Ms Prole, Ms Quinn, Ms Harrington and Julie hope that everyone has a lovely relaxing sun-filled summer holiday!😎👍
