We are lucky to have outdoor space in our school. 5th class have the responsibility for looking after the skipping ropes and bringing them out to the yard each day. There is a rota for using the skipping ropes and pupils from 2nd – 6th class are allowed to use the ropes.

We also have some grass and, when the weather is fine, there is a rota for each class from Junior Infants to 6th class so that each class gets a turn. The children often play football when it is their turn on the grass and there are two football nets on the grass for this purpose.

In the junior yard we have an alphabet snake painted on the ground as well as some shapes. The children like to move along the snake by jumping and hopping.
