After the Halloween break ‘Aistear’ (learning through structured play) was introduced to the Junior Infant Classroom.
Our November theme was ‘Space’. We were excited to learn about other planets. We became ‘Space Cadets’. We built and launched rockets to go and explore the Solar System. We sang songs, recited poems and played with black sparkly playdough!
We were inspired by Chris Hadfield’s ‘Space videos’ and his book ‘The Darkest Dark’ and also by Eric Carle’s book ‘Draw me a Star’.
