During January 4th class had a wonderful time learning all about Japan. They researched and created wonderful projects which are now compiled in a class book about Japan. They learned all about Japanese culture including traditional Japanese clothes. The first photo shows a yukata dress while in the second the girls are modelling homemade kimonos.
Beautiful kimono dolls were created in art. Please have a look outside our classroom for the full collection!
We also had fun learning the Japanese paper art of origami with Louisa from 6th.
We created some cool Manga characters also.
Please call in to the GP hall to have a look at our poetry literacy project. We studied poetry across almost all subjects in the curriculum! We even created a sound poem in RE about the battle of Jericho have a listen here!
