This week we said goodbye to Mrs Conran, our wonderful principal. On Wednesday there was an opportunity for parents and other principals in the local area to say farewell. A huge thanks to Fiona Smith for her delicious baking and to the pupils of 4th, 5th and 6th class for the beautiful singing. Also thank you to Sarah Ledwidge for accompanying the children and to Ms Waugh for the photos. Finally, many thanks to the parents for their generous gift!
Today, Thursday, the teachers and pupils in the school held a special assembly. The pupils from Junior Infants – 2nd class sang a song and presented Mrs Conran with memories for her memory box. This was followed by 3rd -6th classes singing a song and presenting their memories for Mrs Conran. Ms Gilmore told the pupils a little about Mrs Conran’s life and the children all enjoyed looking at the photos on the slideshow.
We hope Mrs Conran has many fond memories of us here in Delgany NS and we wish her well for the future.
