We have had a busy year with golf. Coaching started last September with Gavin and Mark in Delgany G.C. , we took a short break over the winter and resumed in March.
On the 14th May 2018 eight of our budding golfers entered the Delgany National Schools Cup competition in Delgany Golf Club. This is an annual golf competition for local schools.
We entered a girls team Holly, Isabella, Anna and Sophie from 5th Class and a boys team Adam, Alex, Ryan (6th class) and Ross (4th Class). Both teams played extremely well.
The day consisted of a nine hole scramble competition, followed by an exhibition by the club pro Gavin and then a lovely lunch in the clubhouse.
It was a really fun day, well done to all involved.
On Sunday 27th May we held a fun golf competition in Glenmill Golf Club in Newtownmountkennedy. Thirteen children from 3rd to 6th class took part, played nine holes followed by some lovely refreshments on the 19th! It was a super day.
Coaching will resume as part of the afterschool activities in the autumn.
