Monday:
School was closed for the May bank holiday but everyone was encouraged to be active over the long weekend.

Thursday:
The Million Step Challenge continued. The weather still wasn’t great but there was more indoor PE and Go Noodle!
Friday:
We had Active Assembly led by 6th class. We learned all about exercise and the benefits of exercising. We learned a little about life saving and we all took pa rt in the Haka as Gaeilge! We also sang a song with lots of actions!
At 12o’clock we had Drop Everything And Dance and everyone did the macarena in their classrooms!
The weather was beautiful and lots of classes were outside. 6th class measured how fast they could run using time, speed and distance. Junior Infants did some orienteering in the junior yard. 1st class were doing PE and practising relays for sports day. 4th class did our new walking trail (see the Walking TraiL page) and timed how far they could run in 12 seconds as part of their maths investigations. They also measured the area of both yards.
