Maths Week 2019 took place from the 14th – 18th October. There were maths trails, maths PE, maths through Irish, maths in Art, maths in literacy. Here are some of the activities the classes undertook:

Buddy time
Sixth class made fantastic Maths games for their buddies in Junior Infants. Their game had to be suitable for Junior Infant Maths and teach a concept. We saw some imaginative games that Ms. Fair will be using again! Well done to sixth class!

Fifth class
We combined Maths Week with Space Week and made proportionally correct planets of the solar system using our compasses.
We also devised and made maths games suitable for Senior Infants to play.

4th Class
4th Class embraced maths week with enthusiasm. We made up maths shape poems, we learnt our tables in a fun PE lesson with Mr McGrory. We programmed the Beebots in SESE. The most fun activity we did was designing and making our own board games. We worked in groups of two and three and came up with the most amazing maths board games!

Junior Infants
Junior Infants were busy playing Maths games and learning new concepts. They loved getting outside for active Maths and measuring items in our playground.
